DALLAS, TX (March, 2009) – Texas Women Ventures Fund, LP (“TWVF”) successfully exited from its investment in Warrior Group on March 7, 2009. TWVF made a subordinated debt investment in Warrior Group on March 7, 2007. Due to Warrior Group’s explosive growth over the last two years, the company was able to pay off its note one year early and provide a superior return to TWVF. At the time of investment, Warrior Group had $15 million in revenues but was struggling with cash needs. Over the past two years, Warrior Group’s revenues have grown 720% and the company achieved an astonishing ten figure EBITDA for calendar year end 2008. Gail Warrior Lawrence, founder and CEO of Warrior Group, stated “TWVF has been an invaluable resource in our growth and we look forward to a continued relationship.” TWVF and Warrior Group are currently exploring a follow-on investment to occur later in 2009. Fund Managing Partner, Whitney Johns Martin, expressed her enthusiasm for the investment: “TWVF is proud that its investment in Warrior Group helped contribute to record breaking growth and more importantly, allowed Warrior Group to provide new jobs and enhance economic development in Texas.”
