Jennifer Elliott is a Principal for the Texas Women Ventures Funds (“TWVF”), a group of mezzanine funds that invest solely in women-led companies. As an investor in TWVF, and a member of the Investment Committee, Investment Advisory Committee, and Portfolio Advisory Board, Jennifer has a passion for helping female entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Jennifer plays an integral role in identifying and reviewing new deals, over-seeing due diligence, as well as providing support and monitoring of various portfolio companies.
Much of Jennifer’s private equity career has focused on deploying capital to underserved markets. In addition to her role at TWVF, Jennifer provides analytics and support to Golden Seeds, a New York City based angel group and venture capital fund that invests in early-stage, women-led companies. Through her work at Lone Star Investment Advisors, a Dallas-based private equity firm, she helped to invest over $100 million of equity and debt capital in low to moderate income areas in Texas in order to generate economic development and spur job creation. Additionally, Jennifer gained experience in providing long-term expansion and acquisition capital to women-led and minority-owned businesses at Dallas-based Pacesetter Capital Group, a private equity firm with three specialized Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) under management.
Early in Jennifer’s career, she worked as a supply chain management consultant for Alaris Consulting, subsequently acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She also worked as an international tax accountant for Deloitte LLP and as an adjunct accounting professor for Eastfield College.
Jennifer holds a BS in Finance and Insurance from the University of Florida and a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she gained proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish through various study-abroad programs. She has and continues to serve on numerous Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors, such as J.O.Y. Foods, Inc., Gourmet Kitchens, Inc., and Warrior Group, Inc. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys competing on the national show jumping circuit and volunteering in the community with the Junior League.
