Valerie is co-founder of the Texas Women Ventures Fund. She is a charter investor in the fund and a member of the Investment Advisory Committee.
Valerie is the founder and CEO of Imprimis Group, Inc., a collection of staffing, search and recruitment outsourcing companies which include Imprimis Staffing, Bravo Technical Resources, Art Squad, Mature Personnel and Third Party Pay. Valerie has a long and impressive career as an entrepreneur and community leader. She founded Imprimis Group in 1982 and today it is one of the largest independently owned staffing companies in Texas.
Valerie’s past entrepreneurial ventures include serving as an organizer and Director of Resource Bank and Texas Capital Bank. Currently she is a founder and Executive Committee member of ANSERTEAM, LLC, a national staffing company.
Valerie is the 2004 recipient of the Women Business Enterprise of the Year Award from the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest and 2003 recipient of the prestigious Athena Award from the Greater Dallas Chamber. The Dallas Business Journal recently named her one of the 25 most influential business women in Dallas.
Current memberships include NAWBO (past president and founder of DFW Chapter), Executive Women’s Roundtable (founder and past chair), Committee of 200, International Women’s Forum, and Leadership Texas Alumni Association. She also serves as Chair of the Board of the Dallas County Community College District Foundation and on the Boards of the North Dallas Chamber and Girl Scouts of NE Texas.
Valerie is a Distinguished Alum of the University of Houston where she holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education.
